The AASBO Pre-Conference Workshops includes one core courses for the AASBO Professional Certification Program; it also includes one core course for the Payroll/Personnel Certificate Program. All courses count as Continuing Professional Education for those who have completed any AASBO Certification Program. By taking one course per time block, one can earn nine continuing professional education hours.

The University of Alabama is pleased to partner with the College Board to offer the Advanced Placement (AP) Institute for current AP teachers who are looking to strengthen their program or teachers who are new to the AP program seeking guidance on curriculum and teaching methods.

The New AP Teacher sessions are for designed for teachers new to AP or with minimal training in AP. The Experienced AP Teacher sessions are designed for experienced AP teachers who have previously attended an introductory AP training session and have taught an AP course for at least two years.

The State of Alabama Department of Insurance requires license candidates for the Life and Health lines of insurance complete an approved pre-licensing course. An approved pre-licensing Provider must administer this course (classroom or online). This guide is supplementary material to whatever classroom or online course the candidate may be participating.

The Alabama Bail Bond Online Pre-licensing Course is an online bail bondsman pre-licensing course designed for prospective bail bond insurance providers. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to take the State of Alabama bail bond licensing exam.

Materials
This Alabama bail bond course is self-contained. No additional material or books are required. You may print each chapter if you wish to have written material. An inexpensive law dictionary might make it easier when you need to look up a definition. You can find one at almost any national chain bookstore or from multiple online sources.

The Course
This Alabama bail bond course was developed under the auspices of the Alabama Department of Insurance and is accepted by them as the equivalent of 20 hours of classroom instruction. Successful completion of this bail bond course will entitle you to sit for the State of Alabama Bail Bond License examination, which is based on this book. Bail bond is a complex subject. Neither this course nor any other can teach you everything you need to know about the business. Only time and experience can do that. Nevertheless, a serious attempt has been made to cover as many phases of the bail bond business as possible in as much depth as possible.

The Text
You have 180 calendar days to complete the Alabama bail bond course and pass its final examination. The training materials are divided into 9 lessons. At the end of each lesson, you are required to take a test of materials covered in that lesson.

We realize that many of our students already work for a bonding company or plan to do so. However, since the license permits you to open your own agency, we have to design the course as though we expect you to do that.
