Alabama Community College Leadership Academy
Established in 2000, The Alabama Community College Leadership Academy provides a year-long leadership development program for administrators and faculty members desiring to prepare themselves to take advantage of future senior-level management opportunities in two-year colleges. The Academy activities begin with a four-day workshop in residence followed by four two-day seminars, which meet on Thursdays and Fridays at host campuses during the year. Using the principles of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), participants work in teams to solve "real-world" problems faced by educational administration practitioners. The Academy features a variety of lectures, seminars, and workshops, and centers on five curricular themes.
