The conference is presented by a partnership of the Rural Nurse Organization, the University of Northern Colorado, Boise State University, and the University of Wyoming.

The purpose of this conference is To convene rural healthcare nurses and other health professionals, researchers, educators, and leaders to discuss various topics of importance to rural health, including historical contributions. Conference sessions will address these topics: Evidence-based Clinical Practice, Quality Improvement, Research, Education, Policy/Workforce.

Conference Objectives:
- Explore past, current, and future challenges and strategies to strengthen the delivery of health services and improve health in rural areas.
- Examine creative approaches to meeting the transition to value based health care in rural settings.
- Develop leadership skills necessary to advance rural health care access, cost, and quality.
- Create an environment of global learning, collaboration, and partnership with a focus on improving the quality of healthcare in rural populations.
